- Noise
- Noise is unwanted 'specs' on an digital image. (with film cameras this was referred to as film grain) Noise problems are seen with long exposures, high ISO settings and cheaper quality digital cameras and scanners; it can also be made noticeable by unsuitable post processing of images. Although some noise/grain can be attractive for artistic purposes it's presence on Microstock images is usual not tolerated (image rejection).
